Corona: Is India handling better than others?

Since last few weeks the world has been facing severe damage done by Covid-19, commonly known as Corona virus. After it's start from Wuhan, China, the world has seen a spike in the number of corona infected cases. As per WHO's official data , a total of 164,837 persons are infected with corona virus while the death toll reached at 6470. Although over 160 countries have been affected with the virus, after china it has affected Italy the most. The country is under complete lockdown and has seen more than 24000 cases. Public gatherings have been banned.  All the supermarkets, bars and large meeting places are to be closed.People are not allowed to move out with out a certificate. The country is also facing a shortage of nurses and doctors. the situation s being dealt by calling retired practitioners and final year medical students to work throughout the shifts. The cases of pneumonia have also seen a sharp rise in the country.

Governments all over the world are taking steps to curb the situation which is currently slipping out of hand. In India, the number of virus infected people has reached over 114, out of which 17 are foreign citizens.It has also seen 2 deaths due to the virus infection. The Country has a population of over 1.3 billion and going by the condition of public hygiene and medical facilities, it can be pretty vulnerable to the dangers of the virus. However, till now the health department under the leadership of prime minister Narendra Modi has done a good job to contain the outbreak.

States have been directed to follow the guidelines on corona virus. All the airports are equipped with the teams to screen people coming from other countries for the virus. All the visas and foreign travels have been stopped. Many states like Delhi have declared health emergency where all the public gatherings have banned. Malls,schools and Cinema halls have shut down till 31st March. Hospitals are being provided with the best medical personnels and the people found positive to corona are being quarantined. Teams have also been made to track all the persons who have come in contact with any of the infected person. Facilities have designed to keep the patients in isolation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also called for an all SAARC nations meeting to come up together to find a solution to the problem. The situation has led to an economic slowdown for the entire world.
Constant efforts are being made to fight the situation.Recently, two of the patients have also recovered from Delhi's hospital, which comes up as a ray of hope.
