As number of corona virus cases increased in Maharashtra, CM Thackrey announced a state wide lockdown
The total number of corona infected people in India has crossed the 300 mark, Maharashtra bearing the highest number of cases. There are 74 reported cases from Maharashtra till now.
Considering the situation and to control the spread, chief minister Uddhav Thackeray has imposed section 144 of CrPC till 31st March in the state starting tomorrow. The chief minister has asked the people to continue with the 'janta curfew' till tomorrow morning.
All intercity bus services will be stopped .BEST buses will run through the city for people involved in essential services. Thackeray has told that no essential supplies will be stopped and banks and share markets will be open, as the state is in a critical phase of the pandemic the administration had left with no choice. No international flight will be allowed to land on Mumbai international airport till further notice.
The state government had already announces lockdown n for major cities: Pune,Nagpur, Pimpri Chinchwad and Mumbai two days back.
